1) Best Poster Presentation Award (for excellent poster presentations)

2) Best Student Prize (for excellent oral presentations)

Selection Process

1) Best Poster Presentation Award

The awards selection is based on criteria prescribed by ISS Organizing Committee. The results scored by Program Committee of each area (PC, ED, WB, AP) and the Session Chairs are compiled by ISS Secretariat. Based on the deliberations at ISS Executive Organizing Committee (EOC) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC), the winner is decided by ISS General Chair.  AIST awards the winner.

2) Best Student Prize

Using the nomination form prescribed by ISS EOC and LOC, the candidates are recommended by Chair and Sub-chair of each Program Committee (PC, ED, WB, AP). Based on the deliberations on the candidates at ISS EOC and LOC, the winner is decided by ISS General Chair. AIST awards the winner.

In principle, the Best Poster Presentation Award shall be one for each area (PC, ED, WB, AP) and one person will be awarded for each area. However, regarding Best Student Prize, when it is recognized that there is a non-negligible contribution, multiple winners can be selected. And an outstanding student among the Superconductivity School participants can be recommended as a winner by the Secretary-General. All prizes may not be awarded after deliberations at ISS EOC and LOC.

The selection will be held during the International Superconductivity Symposium, and the General Chair will award the winner at the closing ceremony on the final day of the symposium.

Selection guideline

1) Best Poster Presentation Award

Excellent students who are enthusiastic about Superconductivity research will be awarded. In addition to the poster presentation at ISS2019, submission of the proceeding manuscript by December 1, and days of attendance at Superconductivity School will be also evaluated.
