The online registration is available from May 10 to November 5, and the payment of advanced registration fees should be made by PayPal or credit card. Participants who cannot use PayPal or credit card for the payment should contact ISS2019 secretariat . Advanced registration will be closed at 11:59PM (Greenwich Mean Time) on Friday, November 1, 2019 9:00AM (Japanese Standard Time) on Tuseday, November 5, 2019.

Participants without advanced registration need to register on-site with cash payment in Japanese yen. On-site registration will open in the morning on Tuseday, December 3, 2019. Pre-registered participants are strongly requested to bring a printout of the registration confirmation E-mail.

If you could not receive an automatic email from PayPal with information of your receipt number for the payment, please let us know as soon as possible.

Registration Fee

Registration fees for participants include attendance at all scientific programs and all symposium materials, but do not cover the banquet event.

Registration Changes and Cancellation Requests

Requests to change a registration must be made in writing and emailed or faxed to ISS2019 secretariat. For cancellations, pre-paid registration fees are refundable less a JPY2,000 processing fee if notification of cancellation is received in writing (mail or email) by ISS2019 secretariat no later than October 25, 2019. Cancellations after that date will result in no refund; however, a substitute registrant will be accepted.

Registration fee will be fully refunded if the submitted abstract is declined by the program committee.

Visa Requirements

Symposium participants from several countries including China, India, Russia, etc. need an effective entry visa to visit Japan. Such participants must contact the ISS2019 secretariat and provide your information necessary for the visa application (your nationality, occupation, birth date, age, your name written on your passport, male/female, schedule of your stay in Japan, flight schedule, contact information in Japan, etc.) well in advance of the symposium. The ISS2019 secretariat will send documents required for visa application to pre-registered participants (:only to presenters/co-authors and exhibitors) with payment. The length of stay for the VISA application is limited to ISS2019 period (ex. Dec.2–6 at longest).

*”Enterprises or profit making corporations” include organizations run with private sector funds, such as Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (Japan), etc.

**”National or public institutes” mean state-owned research institutes, research organizations aimed for public interest, or organizations that are run mainly by public funds, such as AIST (Japan), research institutes belonging to Chinese Academy of Sciences (China), Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (Korea), etc. “Universities” include private universities.
