Registration
The online registration was available from July 15 to November 18, and the payment of advanced registration fees was made by credit card. Advanced registration was closed at 11:59PM (Japanese Standard Time) on Friday, November 18, 2016. Participants without advanced registration need to register on-site with a cash payment in Japanese yen. They are asked to pay the exact amount of the registration fee without change.
On-site registration opens at 8:30AM 9:15AM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Pre-registered participants are strongly requested to bring a printout of the registration confirmation E-mail.
Registration Fee
Registration fees for participants include attendance at all scientific programs and all symposium materials, but do not cover the banquet event.
Registration Changes and Cancellation Requests
Requests to change a registration must be made in writing and emailed or faxed to ISS2016 secretariat. For cancellations, pre-paid registration fees are refundable less a ¥2,000 processing fee if notification of cancellation is received in writing (mail, email or fax) by ISS2016 secretariat no later than November 11, 2016. Cancellations after that date will result in no refund; however, a substitute registrant will be accepted.
Visa Requirements
Symposium participants from several countries including China, India, Russia, etc. need an effective entry visa to visit Japan. Such participants must contact the ISS2016 secretariat and provide your information necessary for the visa application (your nationality, occupation, birth date, age, your name written on your passport, male/female, schedule of your stay in Japan, flight schedule, contact information in Japan, etc.) well in advance of the symposium. The ISS2016 secretariat will send documents required for visa application to pre-registered participants.
